How to create your own Launchpad performances/covers.
The process consists of a few key steps:
- Choose a song to cover or create an original piece.
- Prepare your song: find its BPM, generate and process stems
- Drag the song into Ableton and align it to the grid
- Cut the song into samples, then place them on pads
- Create lightshow effects to match the music with the software of your choice
- Put everything together and enjoy playing your creation!
All of these steps will have their dedicated pages. The process is primarily split up into Sampling and Lights. It doesn't matter what you begin with, just do what feels best to you! If you follow our suggested order, you'll start with Sampling first.
